Sunless Tanning Tips

New Year, New TAN You!

It’s a new year, and I’m definitely going to let the new me shine bright this year with my glowing tan from Sun Tan City! Its 2013, so let’s get your tanning goals started off the right way with a few of my tips and tricks to help achieve and maintain your glow!

First, no matter what time of the year it is, I want to have that sun-kissed glow that we all find so appealing. I rotate back and forth between our Fastest Tanning Bed and Instant Tanning Bed. I trust my JWOWW ‘One and Done’ to help me get an amazing glow with the fusion of bronzers mixed with her signature skincare ingredients. Looking fabulous with this tanning lotion is a shore-thing.

I also like to Sunless Tan at least once a week. My favorite solution is the Medium, Clear with Hydration and sometimes for an extra boost I will get the Dark, Clear with Hydration. To touch up at home I use one of our Sunless Tanning sprays (all of them are great).

All of the tanning will create a great tan for anyone, but the care you put into your prep and after-care is what truly counts. Be sure to use our exfoliating scrubs before you tan and tan extenders to treat your skin after you shower daily.

What is the Difference Between Clear and Tinted Bronze?

With the VersaSpa, you have a choice between Clear or Tinted Bronze sunless tan solution. You’ll get the same gorgeous results; it just depends on whether or not you want immediate color, or for it to be a gradual tan.

With the Tinted Bronze solution, you will get color right away. However, the color will still develop over a 4 – 6 hour time period. This choice is great if you need an automatic tan.

The Clear solution is just that – clear. You won’t notice color right away, but it will gradually develop over 4 – 6 hours.

What Do I Need to Do to Get Ready for a Sunless Tan?

To get a perfect sunless tan, here are a few tanning tips to help you get ready.

- The day you are planning on getting a sunless tan, shave your legs. Your legs will be nice and smooth, and the solution won’t have to get past any little leg hairs.
- Exfoliate your skin. We carry a body scrub in our salons that is perfect for this. When you exfoliate your skin, this knocks off any dead skin cells that will shed off and take your lovely sunless tan with it.
- Don’t apply moisturizer after you shower. This will allow your skin to soak in the solution easier, and in a more even manner.
- Use the prep gel. This will balance your skin’s pH levels, and ensure a perfect, flawless sunless tan.
- Have the Tanning Consultant help you choose your color. They are trained in helping you get the best tan possible and will be able to give you great guidance on this.
