Sun Tan City Offers Sunless Tanning Special to Benefit March of Dimes

We’ve proudly partnered with March of Dimes this month to help bring awareness to their cause. Throughout the entire month, Sun Tan City will collect donations for March of Dimes in each of our 200 locations.

March of Dimes helps moms have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies. In local communities around the country, they’re helping moms take charge of their health, and supporting families if something goes wrong.

Sun Tan City will also run a storewide event March 17 – 18! The proceeds from our $5 sunless tans this weekend will be donated to March of Dimes at the end of the month.

Stop by today and do some good with your donation or tanning session.

Last Chance to Donate to Toys for Tots

Tomorrow ends the last day that all Sun Tan City tanning salons will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped, toys for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Please help us help the underprivileged children in your community by bringing in new toys to your local Sun Tan City salon.

All donations made in your community stay in your community, so you will be spreading joy to the people you see every day.

Sun Tan City Hosts Toys for Tots Drive

Each year, Sun Tan City hosts a month-long fundraiser for the Marine Toys for Tots, which collects new, unwrapped toys for needy children in the community at Christmas time.

We invite you to donate toys at any Sun Tan City salon the whole month of November to help children in your community. Please do not wrap the gifts so it is easy for the Toys for Tots foundation to see what the gift is.

There will be a drop-box in your participating Sun Tan City lobby, so just drop it off when you come in for your indoor tanning treat.

Of course, if you have any questions your Tanning Consultant will assist you.

March of Dimes with Sun Tan City

Every year, Sun Tan City participates in the March of Dimes because community involvement and philanthropy is very important to our company. We will be doing many fundraising events in our salons to contribute to our goal to raise $7,500.

Our employees will be able to wear jeans to work if they make a donation, and they can also sport the cute March of Dimes t-shirts to show our support. But we’re extending our fundraising effort to our clients as well.

From March 15^th to April 15^th, we will be accepting donations for the March of Dimes. If you donate $1, we will hang your name in our salon to show your support of March of Dimes. Of course, you’re more than welcome to donate more, but any little bit helps!

Our tanning salons will be participating in local March of Dimes walks, and we would love to have you join us. Just ask your Tanning Consultant about the walk details.

So please, join us in this great cause so we can all help make a difference.

Marine’s Toys for Tots Drive

In our previous blog, I mentioned how much we love to serve the communities we are in. Well, I wasn’t joking! Every year we coordinate a toy and fund drive for the Marine’s Toys for Tots. So the next time you’re in one of our tanning salons, we will have a box set up in the lobby for toy donations and our Tanning Consultants can take any donations when they check you in.

Even though we have salons in several states, the toys and money that are donated at your salon stay in your salon. So you will have a direct impact on making sure the children in your neighborhood have presents this holiday season.

So please join us in spreading cheer this holiday season!

St. Jude’s Walk

It’s almost time for our Jasper, Indiana salon to walk in the St. Jude’s Research Hospital Walk! On November 20^th, the Sun Tan City Angel’s team will walk at the Holy Family School.

The walk raises money to help fight childhood cancer. To donate online, visit the Sun Tan City Angel’s page. Or donations are being collected at the following salons:

Thanks for Making the March of Dimes a Success!

Great news, tanners! Thanks to your generous donations and the team efforts of Sun Tan City’s great employees, we were able to collectively donate $5,191 to this year’s March of Dimes. This is only our second year participating in the March of Dimes event, and we were able to more than triple our previous donation of $1,400. This is an amazing feat, and we couldn’t have done it without you—so, a big thank you to everyone who participated.

In addition to making our donations Sun Tan City also supplied gifts and prizes to our tanning salon participants in:

Louisville, KY
Indianapolis, IN

I am so proud to say that all of our generous clients are members of the Sun Tan City family. Thank you again for all your help!

Sun Tan City is Marching for Babies

You’ve probably heard of the March of Dimes. But have you heard of the March for Babies? Sun Tan City has! It’s a charitable effort that gives back to the local community by helping fund support options for premature babies, as well as research to help better understand and address issues that keep babies from leading full, healthy lives.

Through the end of April, every Sun Tan City salon location will be selling March of Dimes flyers to help support this amazing effort. I encourage you to be generous and pick up a flyer or three the next time you visit Sun Tan City. You’ll not only be helping babies in your community, but you’ll be helping Sun Tan City support babies all over the country. Maybe even worldwide! You’ll never know until you join in.

And if you can’t stop into one of our salons but would still like to make a donation you can make a donation on Sun Tan City’s March for Babies site.

Supporting Our Community

I want to use this post as an opportunity to let our readers know how we at Sun Tan City are supporting the communities we serve.

Just before the holidays, a company-wide fundraiser for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation concluded with a $7,888 check being presented to Kentucky coordinator Bob Cross. The funds and toys donated were collected from our generous clients at all 103 Sun Tan City salons.

Thank you for your generosity and your help in making this gift possible! I’m sure your donations made a genuine difference for someone during the holidays—and that is something you should all be very proud of.
