Did you know that closing your eyes doesn’t protect your eyes from UV rays? It’s true—even placing a towel over your face only gives you 5% protection.

The only tried-and-true method of keeping your sensitive eyes safe from UV rays during tanning is to wear approved protective eyewear. In fact, protective eyewear is so effective, wearing them each time you tan is required by law. Simply keeping on your goggles will protect your eyes against 99% of UVA rays and 99.9% of UVB rays.

On July 1^st, the federal government intends to add a 10% tax to the cost of all indoor tanning services. This tax was included as part of the health care reform bill recently signed into law. Sun Tan City strongly opposes this tax, and as a result has partnered with the Indoor Tanning Association to create an industry-wide Tan Tax Repeal campaign.  The primary goal of the campaign will be fundraising towards the cost of a repeal. All Sun Tan City locations will participate through May 16^th. As a Sun Tan City client, you are a critical part of the tanning industry, and this is your chance to be a part of a team that demands to be heard.
