How Long Does a Bottle of Lotion Last?

Have you ever found yourself torn between the designer bottle of lotion, and the one marked “50% more free”? And you start thinking…I know the designer bottle is a higher quality, but how long will it really last me for the money? It’s the old quality versus quantity debate, and I used to do it all the time.

Turns out, the normal 10oz bottle of tanning lotion can last anywhere from 16-20 sessions, provided that you’re using the recommended amount. You need to put enough indoor tanning lotion on to get a nice coat all over. If you’re like I used to be and get stuck between quality and quantity the next time you go to buy tanning lotion, remember that the normal 10oz bottle will actually last you a pretty long time, and will nourish your skin in a way the generic brands can’t.

How to Protect Acrylic Nails

You know as well as I do that looking your best is never without expense. So I know I always want to protect my investment—whether that means color-saving shampoo, a little extra for dry cleaning or, of course, the very best tanning lotion I can get. When I get my nails done, it’s no different—I want to do whatever it takes to keep my acrylic nails strong and looking great.

Just like the sun, tanning beds can cause acrylic nails to yellow just a bit. So when I stop by Sun Tan City for a bit of me-time, I’m always sure to pick up a couple of Nail Savers to keep my nails perfect and bright. I’ve got great news! In just a few days there will be the grand opening of a brand new Sun Tan City in London, Kentucky! This location will be the first available to London residents, but we’re certain it won’t be the last. Located at 16661 West Highway 192W, this location will open its doors to the public on November 9th.

Good news everyone! The Sun Tan City nearest you will remain open during normal business hours on Halloween. Come on by whether you’re looking to get an instant sunless tan in the VersaSpa® for a quick splash of color for your Halloween costume, or just relax and unwind with a warm session in one of our beds before the trick-or-treaters start coming out. Keeping Skin Moisturized (the Right Way)

Moisture is the secret to great looking skin. No ifs, ands, or buts—for skin that’s soft, healthy and beautiful, moisture is key. And if you’re like me and love to keep your skin sun-kissed and bronzed all year round, moisture is even more important. Tanning can dry out your skin if you’re not moisturizing often enough, so here are a couple of different ways you can keep yourself hydrated and your skin healthy.

Drink Water! An oldie, but a goodie. Water does more for your body than any other food or beverage out there. Even making an effort to drink a glass of water with every meal to get more H2O in your system will have great benefits for your skin.

Use Moisturizing Body Wash. Aside from lotion, body wash is another topical opportunity to get in a little extra moisture. For best results, use a tan extender body wash.

Choose A Lotion. Of course, the number one way to stay moisturized while tanning is to use the right lotion for your skin type. Special nourishing agents and vitamins packed into every lotion are designed to replenish essential nutrients lost during the tanning process.

Concours d’Elegance Fashion Show

Sun Tan City was proud to be a sponsor of the Concours d’Elegance Fashion Show at Churchill Downs on Oct. 4th. The event supported Brooklawn Child and Family Services, which is a “Psychiatric Residential Treatment Center for Adolescents and Children and has been providing hope and healing to young minds and hearts since 1851.”

University of Louisville Game Sponsored by Sun Tan City
