I live near one store, but work near another - can I use my package or membership at both locations?

Absolutely! You can use your package or membership at any Sun Tan City location in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana or Maine. Think of it like this - we have only one computer database that all locations link to. Hence, if you are a member at one location, you are a member at all locations. At Sun Tan City, we call it - Tan When You Want, Where You Want! Not all locations offer Fast tanning please see tanning consultant for details.

Can I buy a franchise and open my own Sun Tan City location?

Currently we are not offering any new franchises. However, please submit your information along with the city or area you are interested in and we will keep it on file in the event we do begin to offer franchising.

Please call or visit your nearest Sun Tan City location for detailed pricing. It is impossible to e-mail you a detailed list, because often prices may vary by location or market.

How do I know if the beds are clean?

We use FDA-approved cleaning and disinfecting solutions after every customer's tanning session. Once we have thoroughly cleaned the bed we reset it in the computer, so there is no chance you will be sent to a dirty bed!

What should I wear in a tanning bed?

You will be tanning in a completely private room, so feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in.

• People under 18 years of age have to have one of their parents/guardians come in with them to sign a parental consent form.
• An Any person under 16 years of age has to be accompanied by a parent/guardian each time they come in to tan.

What do I need to bring with me if I want to start tanning at Sun Tan City?

• If you have never tanned with us before, you will need to bring a valid picture ID with you.
• If you are under 18, you will also need to bring a parent with you.
• We also require you to provide a credit/debit card or voided check if you plan to sign up for our convenient club sun membership!

Why am I always asked if I have my goggles?

State and Federal Law both require that you wear proper protective eyewear when tanning. We sell both regular and temporary goggles at each of our locations. Also, your eye lids are too thin to block out the UV rays.

Why would I need a tanning lotion?

Moisture and nutrients are lost during the tanning process, tanning simply dries out the skin. Sun Tan City exclusively sells the finest indoor tanning lotions. The lotions deliver premium skin care that hydrates the skin while delivering vital nutrients needed to accelerate or maximize your tan.

Will my skin look orange if I use your VersaSpa™ ? 

Not at all. The Versa Spa gives you a very even natural looking tan!

If I tan in the VersaSpa™  can I also tan in tanning beds? 

Yes. There is nothing in the Versa Spa solution that would prevent you from tanning in a tanning bed. In fact, a number of clients have found that tanning with UV rays and sunless tanning actually gives them a better overall tan. If you plan to use a tanning bed and the Versa Spa in the same day we recommend you tan first then do the Versa Spa!
